I got this method from my boyfriend’s mother. I used to boil ribs prior to grilling. It was a lot of work, which lead to not making ribs very often. This method is so much easier: rub, rest, bake, rest. You only have a few minutes of prep and rest is just marinating and baking.
Ingredients
- One rack of pork ribs
- 1/4 c paprika
- 2 T chili powder
- 2 t salt
- 1 T celery salt
- 2 t black pepper
- 1 T garlic powder
- 1 T onion powder
- 2 t dry mustard
- 2 t cayenne pepper
Mix spices together in a small bowl. Rub spices all over ribs. Wrap ribs with two layers of foil making note with side is “fat side up”. Refrigerate for at least two hours.
Preheat oven to 275 degrees. Place wrapped ribs on a baking sheet with fat side up. Bake for 2-1/2 to 3 hours until meat is cooked through and falls off the bone. Serve as is or with your favorite bbq sauce.
